start ABOBE's PHOTOSHOP CS2 (www.adobe.com)
the original image
load the 8bit JPEG file
select Menu->Image->Mode->16Bit to convert the 8bit image to 16bit
open the photomatix tone-mapping plugin
select Menu->Plugin->Photomatix->Tone Mapping...
set the parameters as you like.
good values are: luminosity: 8..10 strength: 80%..100% color saturation: 0%..30% white clip: 4% black clip: 0.5% smoothing: high microcontrast: high
now apply photoshop's auto color correction.
select Menu->Image->Mode->8Bit to convert the 16bit image to 8bit and apply the Xe847pro plugin.
select Menu->Plugin->xe847.com->Xe847Pro...
set a warm color tone and increase the contrast

start PHASE ONE's CAPTURE ONE (www.phaseone.com)
select the raw format image and create various 16bit tiff files with different exposure settings
set the exposure-correction to +0 and send the image to the processing list
set the exposure-correction to -2 to recover the overexposed parts of the image and send the image to the processing list
process the images as 16bit TIFF files
the resulting TIFF files
start HDR-SOFT's PHOTOMATIX PRO (www.hdrsoft.com)
load the processed 16bit TIFF files
select Menu->HDRI->Generate HDR to generate a HDR-image from the selected LDR-images
or Menu->Combine->Average to merge the selected LDR-images.
choose the better result for processing the next steps.
select Menu->HDRI->Tone Mapping for the generated HDR or Averaged Image
save the Tone-Mapped image as a 16bit TIFF file

start ABOBE's PHOTOSHOP CS2 (www.adobe.com)
load the generated 16bit TIFF file
select Menu->Image->Mode->8Bit to convert the 16bit image to 8bit
apply a correction photoshop-plugin called Xe847Pro (www.xe847.com)
save the resulting image as a 8bit tiff or jpeg file

in this tutorial an additional perspective correction is applied
press CTRL+A to select the complete image
select Menu->Edit->Transform->Perspective Distortion
